Speedway nightlife is eclectic, but always fun. You can see a famous national or Indianapolis band in concert one night, dance to various ambassadors of Speedway music the next, or make your own at some of the excellent Karaoke bars in Speedway.
Naturally, greater Indianapolis music occupies a large portion of the Speedway nightlife pie. On any given night, Speedway residents have only to hop in their cars and drive from five to 25 minutes to find one of the excellent Indianapolis music venues in “Naptown,” a popular nickname for the Indiana capital.

There are also tons of options other than dance music to fill up your Speedway nightlife to-do list. Comedy venues such as the Crackers Comedy Club in nearby downtown Indianapolis, for example, are extremely popular with residents from Speedway and everywhere else in metropolitan Indy. And practically any day of the week, a top-notch stage production will be offered around town by acting companies in the Indianapolis performing arts community. Professional dance and classical music concerts abound within the Circle City, too.
Still buzzed from the races and looking to wind down? Right inside the Speedway town limits, there are quite a few spots to celebrate late into the night. The Winners Circle Lounge is a popular Speedway bar which offers live Saturday music performance, dancing, a jukebox and a great Tuesday Karaoke setup. Kelly’s Pub Too is a favorite hangout for Karaoke and live bands as well. And both places are fun for just hanging out and making friends.
As you might surmise, all media hype to the contrary, it’s not all about the racetrack in Speedway. There are always some entertaining things to do in Speedway, one of the most energetic cities towns on the planet.
